First $X,XXX End User Sale Using Outbound Marketing + Chipotle Celebration [VIDEO]

I think you’ve all learned the deal. Whenever we hit a goal of some sorts, Will and I need to go out and celebrate. We usually don’t do anything crazy but we often go out to grab a bit to eat. It’s usually a taco bell celebration.

Why?

Because Taco Bell is freaking awesome, that’s why.

With this celebration dinner, we wanted to go a little upscale though. You know, a real type of restaurant. Somewhere to sit, talk and enjoy a great Mexi-Cali type sit down dinner.

I haven’t really mentioned what we were celebrating so here it is.

Basically, we were able to make our FIRST end user sale using outbound marketing (email) for a sale in the lower $X,XXX range. This may not seem like a big deal to you but it is for us because:

  • We were able to hit our goal before the year ended
  • Even though we received replies from potential buyers through emails we initially sent them, their prices didn’t match ours. Instead of rushing for the sale we held strong and negotiated rather well.
  • We love eating celebration dinners so we need to continue to make sales.

    • Hey John,

Thanks! Yes, it is sometimes tough to stick to your price when a reasonable offer comes in but in this case, it worked out.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Congratulations guys!
I bet you guys were pumped to close that deal.
If you don’t mind, what was the extension of your first $X,XXX sale?
    .com? .net? .org?

    • Hey Nate,

Yes, we were pretty happy about it. The extension of all of our “higher” sales has been .com.

.NET’s and .ORG’s do have their place though. Still valuable if you have a solid name.

      Thanks for the comment.

  2. Congrats guys! This is really great feeling and I can sense the happiness you guys are having and I am happy for you 😀

I have completed many outbound sales which included several 5 figure sales. I never contacted an enduser for twice (as follow-up) until I didn’t got the first response back. That would have shown desperateness from my end.

  3. Congratulations amigos. I am happy for what you guys are doing.

Keep us informed about all the good things you experience; and bad things too–as a lesson.

    • Hey James,

Thank you! Will do. That’s the reason why we started this blog, to kind of document the journey and force us to think outside the box with our videos and continuing to create content for everyone.

      Thanks for stopping by!
